Creating Meaningful Math Assessments

Dates: Wednesdays 7:30 am- 8:30am 10/30, 11/20, 11/27, 12/18, 1/22, 1/29, 2/26, 3/19, 3/26, 4/23

This course is designed for classroom teachers and support staff who are interested in creating cumulative math exams that reflect the shifts in the common core curriculum. Before creating exams, participants will learn about the various types of word problems they should be asking and will be given strategies to help students attack such word problems. Participants will also learn the factors that go into creating meaningful assessments, including how to modify exams. Finally, participants will learn how to use the ExamView software and be given time to work with colleagues from their grade levels to create exams.
