The Long Beach Teacher Center Inc is a registered 503C non-profit in the state of New York which evolved from its membership with the The New York Teacher Resource and Technology Training Centers.
Funded yearly through a New York State grant whose purpose is to support student achievement by deepening educator knowledge and skills, since 1996 the Long Beach Teacher Center Inc provides professional development for educators at all stages of their career. In addition to numerous pedagogical and subject specific courses, the Long Beach Teacher Center Inc has created collaborating partnerships with SUNY Stony Brook to provide low cost options for teacher achievement of advanced certificates.
Since 1997, the Long Beach Teacher and Technology Center has provided these services to the teachers living and working on the island of Long Beach, NY.
The Long Beach Teacher Center Policy Board meets the third Tuesday at the Long Beach Middle School Library multipurpose room from 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm. Please check the front page for the Open Meeting Law Announcement.
